Wild Atlantic Way, Day Seven:

Today we woke up to pouring rain in Sneem, and it didn't look promising for the rest of the day, as a big storm was coming in over the south of Ireland for the next few days. We decided to have a lazy morning in the van editing some photographs and catching up on some vlogs on YouTube. Once we got organised we set off on a drive towards Killarney National Park. This was one extremely wet drive, with little in the way of scenic views- we could barely see 40 feet in front of us! We pulled over to a small car park for the Torc waterfall around 2:30 PM. We made lunch which was a delicious curry, but we put a Scotch bonnet chili into it and it was just a little too spicy for Claire (nose and eyes all watering!). After lunch the skies cleared and we ended up being able to get out for a walk, so we walked up to the base of waterfall and then followed the trail which took us right to the top. We then drove a little further and stoped at Muckross house and gardens, which is home to some amazing trees, and also more incredible views around the lake. It was now 6 PM, so we went into Killarney to get some food for dinner. Then, we found a free parking spot for the night, where we made dinner (which was pasta, sauce, tofu, vegetables and naan bread). Before going to sleep, we watched an episode of the ‘long way round’
